New for 2019- We hope to scratch every possible itch this weekend! On Saturday We’ll have the inaugural off-road triathlon, an aquabike, and a scramble start duathlon at Clear Bay Trails, then on Sunday, we’ll have the annual long course aquathlon over at The Lake Thunderbird Boathouse. Stay tuned for details!!!

THE TRI/DU/AB COURSE: 750 yard swim, 12.4 mile bike, 3.4 mile run

THE AQUATHLON COURSE:  1k swim & 5k run; or 2k swim & 10k run
The "One Thousand and Five":
1000 yard swim is an open water swim in the bay off the Thunderbird Boathouse, Lake Thunderbird.
The 5k run course is looped out and back course consisting of some rolling asphalt road, some trail and some fast fire road.
The water temperature will be measured on race morning to determine whether this will be a wetsuit legal event.

The "Two-Thousand and Ten":
Athletes will cover 2 laps of the same 1000 meter course, exiting the water briefly at the end of each lap; this will make for better spectating, as well as allowing us to count your laps. Athletes will then complete two laps of the 5k run course, finishing back at the Boathouse.

Clear Bay Trails are located 16 miles east of I35 on HWY 9 out of Norman.

The Boathouse is in the State Park. It is accessible from Alameda,: enter the park and keep driving along the one road into/out of the park, after just less than 3 miles you will see a sign on the right for "Lake Thunderbird Sailing Club". The gated road will be open. Drive down the hill for parking and the event HQ.

Athlete parking is at The Thunderbird Boathouse, the race site. YOU MAY NOT PARK ON THE EDGE OF THE ROAD anywhere within the park, this is a park regulation.
