Lake Staley Draper Duathlon

2017 USAT OKLAHOMA STATE DUATHLON CHAMPIONSHIP
This event is the longest running sanctioned multi-sport event in the State of Oklahoma. This hilly course is sure to challenge your fitness and toughness. With an out and back 3k run, followed by rolling hills one loop 22k bike course around Lake Stanley-Draper, polished off with one more out and back 3k run.

THE COURSE: 3km run/22km bike/ 3km run
Athletes will complete the 3km run, then complete the 22Km bike, before repeating the 3km run to finish. This is a hilly, scenic course that is a lot of fun. A popular mid-season race on the Tri-OKC Calendar!
The adult race will begin at 7:30am.

is only Saturday, July 15, 2017 from 2pm to 5 pm at Schlegel's Bicycles (900 N. Broadway, Oklahoma City).
DIRECTIONS TO EVENT
From I-35(coming from the west): Take I-240 East approximately 4 miles. Turn south (right) on Sooner Road/OK-77H south (Exit 8). Go south on Sooner Road approximately 2 miles. Turn east (left) on SE 104th Street. Go east on SE 104th approximately 2.5 miles. You will run directly into the Marina parking lot area.
From I-40 (coming from the east): Take I-240 West (via Exit 165) approximately 5 miles. Take Douglas Blvd. (Exit 11) - head south on Douglas Blvd. Turn left onto SE 74th Street and proceed about one mile. Turn left onto S. Midwest Blvd. Proceed one mile. Stay straightonto W. Stanley Draper Dr. Go one mile and turn left into the Marina parking lot area.
There is plenty of parking available in the Draper Lake Marina parking lot just east of the Transition area.
USAT SANCTIONED EVENT
This is a USAT Sanctioned Event. It will follow all USAT rules and guidelines. All participants MUST have a valid ID along w/ a USAT License. If you do not have a vaild USAT #, then you MUST purchase a one-day USAT Membership for $15. You can purchase a one-day or annual USAT membership direct from USAT.

Your photo ID
Your USAT MEMBER CARD if you have one.
For the run: Running shoes.
For the bike: Bike, helmet, cycling shoes if you use them, frame-mounted water bottle.
Depending on the weather, remember to bring some warm clothes for after! We like to hang out and visit!
